Located about 6 km away from Balurghat, Dogachi is one of the best and biggest forest of Dakshin Dinajpur District. The nearest railway station is situated 3 km away from Dogachi. Dogachi can be reached through road by taking buses, taxis and private cars. The pristine natural beauty and wonderful forest area makes it a preferred picnic spot for the visitors. By paying nominal charges picnic arrangements can be done here.

Dogachi Forest, Balurghat

This forest is the house of exotic flora and fauna and is a preferred spot for nature lovers. There is zig-zag canal that passes through this forest and visitors can enjoy boating facilities here.

Raghunathpur Forest:

About 1 km from Balurghat, there is a small forest that is flocked by picnickers during winters and weekends. People enjoy the natural beauty of this place a lot. A forest bungalow is there to provide accommodation to the tourists who wish to stay and enjoy this forest area.

Sarongbari:

Sarongbari is a famous picnic spot in Hili Block of Dakshin Dinajput. Hilli houses the International Checkpost of India-Bangladesh. Located about 25 km away from Balurghat Hili has a small forest named Sarongbari. Local people as well as tourist come here to organize picnic. Hili Panchayat Samiti looks after a small hut with drinking water facilities. To visit the place or to organize picnics here, permission from BDO, Hili has to be taken.

Sorangbari

Picnic parties have to pay Rs 100 as an entry fee in a day. It is possible to reach Sarongbari through road by taking buses, taxis, and private vehicles.
